This template is overlaid on top of the the original character. This does not affect character level, as it can be removed easily, however, it does affect the characters Challenge Rating (CR).
Chosen of Helm (Lawbringer Template)
All weapons the chosen wields call “law” damage as if they were attuned to lawfulness.
Chosen cannot wield or use a chaotic weapon or armor. Doing so will cause the Chosen to lose all extra template-granted abilities until he can find a cleric to cast atonement for him.
Gains an additional 30 max hit points.
Has the spells/spell-like abilities of a third-level paladin/dark knight. Magic is either curing/healing or causing/harming. Chosen must declare this prior to casting.
Chosen must be of a Lawful Neutral alignment when receiving this template. Also, any shifts from this alignment must be corrected.
At 7th level: Damage reduction 5/chaos/evil/good; At 15th level: Damage reduction 10/chaos/evil/good; At 20th level: Damage reduction 20/chaos/evil/good.
Cannot knowingly consent to any non-lawful act (such as stealing, lying, cheating) being performed by himself or any of his party members.
Will not knowingly consort with outsiders from any plane other than law.
Once in the characters lifetime, can cast miracle. The Miracle must be something within the alignment of what Helm would wish in order for the casting to be successful.
Prince of Flames (Son of the Efreeti Overlord Template)
Immune to fire, magical or mundane
Gains an additional 10 max HP.
Takes double damage from cold or water-based spells
Cannot use cold spells, weapons, armor. (A wand of cone of cold just will not work.)
At half movement speed in cold or wet environments. This effect does stack with other movement impairing effects, but can be negated by Haste.
Understands and can converse with all fire elementals and fiery creatures, regardless of their ability to speak. (Those unable to speak can be spoken with via telepathy)
Prefers gold or brass for weapons, armor, etc., will eschew silver, steel metals in favor of more fiery ones
Is able to use The Efreeti Lord’s Signet as an Efreeti Lord
Only takes half healing from clerical healing spells
Any fire-based spell he casts/ability he uses does an additional hit die of damage
+2 Racial modifier to Bluff, Intimidate (As per Persuasive feat)
Once per day can re-roll any save vs. charm or mind-effecting effects
At 7th level: Character gains access to the spell-like abilities of Detect Magic, Pyrotechnics 3/day.
At 12th level: Wall of Fire 1/day, Change size (reduce or enlarge person, chosen at time of casting, self only) 1/day.
At 15th level: At will—Detect Magic, Produce Flame, Pyrotechnics. 2/day—Invisibility, Wall of Fire. Healed by fire spells and abilities (at 1/4 of damage that would have been taken)
At 20th level: 1/day Gaseous Form, Permanent Image. 2/day Scorching Ray. Healed by fire (at 1/2 damage that would have been taken)
